The N Cycle Practitioners' Conference was held.
The N-Cycle Practitioners' Meeting was held on Tuesday, January 24.
At this meeting, we exchanged views on the overall vision and strategy for the N Cycle.
It has also become clear what exactly is meant by “high-performance” in “high-performance compost” and how we should go about producing such compost.
We have also come to realize that rice-washing wastewater alone is not enough to produce the required amount of compost.
Since sludge contains many beneficial microorganisms, we will culture the microorganisms inhabiting the sludge and explore ways to convert it into a resource containing these beneficial components.
The High-Performance Compost Project Using Nagaoka-Grown Rice (N-Cycle) is a collaborative effort between local companies and universities in Nagaoka. The project aims to add high value to Nagaoka-grown rice through the material cycle of rice—including fertilizer development and pesticide-reduced rice cultivation—and to establish the “Nagaoka” brand by producing safe and reliable rice.
