Research and Development Task 5: Exhibited at the Sado Island SDGs Heaven-Earth-Human Science Project 2023

We set up a booth at the “Sado Island SDGs Heaven, Earth, and People Science Project 2023,” which was held in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, on Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30.

The goal of this project is to establish an event where science enthusiasts can come together on Sado Island in the height of summer, while also stimulating and supporting the curiosity about science among the young people who will shape the future. Furthermore, through this event, we aim to cultivate and promote “science” as a new asset for Sado and, by establishing “Science Island Sado”—a geoscience-based initiative—we seek to maximize the value of the island’s World Cultural Heritage designation.

From our university, Assistant Professors Adelin and Watari, along with two students, participated. At our booth, we held a workshop focused on ”water”—a key element in Research and Development Topic 5 of the TANBO Project.
