A feature article on the COI-NEXT headquarters was published in the international comprehensive science journal "Nature"!
An advertorial feature titled ”Focal Point on Creating a Circular Bioeconomy,” highlighting the COI-NEXT project “Niigata: The Rice Capital—A Bio-Community Hub for a Fully Circular Resource Economy Through Regional Collaboration,” was published in the September 12 issue of *Nature*, the world’s leading international general science journal.
At this center, in response to serious regional challenges facing agriculture—such as falling rice prices, soaring fertilizer costs, and a shortage of successors—we are bringing together technologies from various fields, led by our university, with the goal of revitalizing the Niigata region—a major rice-producing area—and realizing a fully resource-recycling society.
This special feature in *Nature* goes beyond a simple introduction to our research; it carefully details the social impact our center aims to achieve and the vision we have for the future, while highlighting the perspectives of various individuals involved. We encourage you to take a look.
