We exhibited at Bio Japan 2024.

We exhibited at “Bio Japan 2024,” which was held at Pacifico Yokohama from Wednesday, October 9, to Friday, October 11. 

Akita Prefectural University COI-NEXT A Hub for Realizing Autonomous Prosperity Through the Transformation of Forest Value In collaboration with [partner organization], we set up a booth titled “Akita Prefectural University × Nagaoka University of Technology: COI-NEXT MORI to TANBO.”

The booth featured exhibits symbolizing the activities of each location—including objects made from Akita cedar, rice straw racks, and earthen walls—which attracted the attention of visitors. We received cooperation from Japan Women’s University and Akita Prefectural University of Art in the creation of these exhibits.

The three-day event was a very meaningful opportunity to interact with various research institutions and companies from Japan and abroad and to share information about our center’s activities. We also distributed samples of “snow-cellar-stored rice”—an area on which our center will be focusing its efforts in the future—to visitors, who were very pleased to receive them.

At next year’s Bio Japan, we hope to share with as many of you as possible the latest research progress from our center and our expanded collaboration with other COI-NEXT centers. We look forward to seeing you there next year.
