We held a vegetable harvesting event with everyone from the Kodomo Mirai Shokudo.

On Saturday, December 21, we invited members of the Kodomo Mirai Shokudo to join us for a vegetable harvest event.

Since the forecast called for sunny weather for the first time in a while, there were requests to “dig up potatoes,” so we organized a harvest event on short notice.

On the day of the event, the children harvested not only potatoes but also daikon radishes. Although the accumulated snow had melted, leaving the ground muddy and making it difficult to walk, the children were completely absorbed in the harvest and enjoyed it as if they were playing in the mud.

The children were thrilled to have this rare opportunity to harvest crops from a snow-covered field. We definitely hope to do this again next spring.
