This spring, Nagaoka University of Science and Technology will install a snow room!!

This spring, the Regional GX Innovation Co-creation Center (GX Building) will be completed on our campus.

We gathered snow on campus to fill the “snow cellar” scheduled to be installed there, and built two large snow mounds—each 6 meters high and with a total volume of 3,000 cubic meters. To prevent the snow from melting before the building is completed, we have covered it with insulating sheets to preserve it.

I hope the snow holds out until the building is finished!
