EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo "Science Exhibition: Me and the Future, Connecting" is on its final day today!

EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai, currently being held in Yumeshima, Osaka Prefecture, has about two months left in its run. Despite the heat, many people are visiting the expo.
Today, the 19th, is the final day of the “Science Exhibition: Connecting Me and the Future,” currently on display at EXPO Messe “WASSE” North!

Led by the team working on Challenge 3, our university’s COI-NEXT Center is presenting “Beyond Smart Agriculture: A Glimpse into the Future of Rice Farming and Farming Experiences.” Visitors can try their hand at operating a weed-removal robot!

You can also enjoy weeding (as a game) in the metaverse.
It looks easy, but I end up cutting down the rice plants along with the weeds… Let’s aim for 10,000 points!

While many pavilions require reservations or have long lines, making it take a while to get in, the “Science Exhibition: Connecting Me and the Future” doesn’t require a reservation! It’s also air-conditioned!
