We are advancing projects that reinterpret Japanese culture and traditions through the power of science and technology, creating new value rooted in local communities.

This time, we hope to go beyond simply showcasing research findings and invite visitors to experience the future envisioned by “forests” and “rice paddies” in a unique space that stimulates all five senses.

The bountiful gifts of Akita’s forests are a treasure trove of future biomass resources, new materials, and innovations in the healthcare sector. At our booth, we’ll introduce the hidden potential of wood, including Akita cedar. Please come and experience the infinite possibilities of the forest in a soothing space where nature and science come together.

”In the rice paddies of Niigata—a region renowned for its rice—farmers who have inherited the wisdom and aspirations of their predecessors devote their time, effort, and love to growing rice. This booth was conceived out of a desire to visibly convey the ”passion” and ”stories” embedded in every stage of the process—from the labor-intensive cultivation and innovative storage methods to the timing of rice milling. Visitors to the booth will also receive a gift of rice stored in a snow cellar. Why not join us in reflecting on the ”present” of ”rice paddies” and ”rice”?
