Peanuts are entering their harvest season!

At the NAGAOKA University of Technology COI-NEXT site's university front field, we are conducting research by tilling pasture land and adding compost to see how it develops into a cultivated field, growing various crops. As part of this effort, the peanuts we have been cultivating have reached their harvest season.

This is a variety of peanut called "Oomasari Neo." It's a variety that is considerably larger than usual. While it grew successfully, many immature nuts were also observed. Many immature soybeans were also noted in the late-maturing varieties. We will continue to investigate the relationship with the soil.
