Representatives from Yanmar and the Hokuriku Regional Agricultural Administration Office visited Nagaoka City.

On Wednesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 15, representatives from Yanmar Agri Co., Ltd.—including Mr. Hidaka—and other Yanmar officials, along with staff from the Niigata Prefecture Office of the Hokuriku Regional Agricultural Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, visited Nagaoka City to tour the participating organizations at this hub.

On the first day, we visited rice paddies and terraced fields in the mountainous areas of the Yamakoshi district, Honen Agri’s factory producing potting soil and other products, and Nakamura Agricultural Products’ automated tractor operations. On the second day, we toured Hyakusho-kai’s terraced rice fields and their water source, visited Iwatsuka Confectionery, and toured our university’s research laboratories, where we exchanged views on future collaboration and other matters.
