The children from Nakajima Kindergarten came to see the sunflowers at the University Front Field!

The sunflowers at the field in front of the university, which began blooming a few days ago, are now in full bloom, and 65 children from Nakajima Kindergarten came to visit at just the right time.

Everyone was thrilled by the vast field of sunflowers, which stretched as far as the eye could see and were bigger than the children’s faces. It was truly heartwarming to see them holding the flowers with such joy after the staff picked them one by one.

We also harvested watermelons in the field. When the children saw the huge watermelons right in front of them, their cheers rang out. They touched them, tapped them to hear the sound, and tried hugging them with all their might… They were enjoying the bounty of summer with their whole bodies.

Surrounded by sunflowers and dazzling smiles, it was a day that filled me with so much energy.
To everyone at Nakajima Kindergarten: Please come visit us again. We look forward to the day we can see all your energetic children again.

At the COI-NEXT main center, we will continue to provide children—the next generation—with opportunities to experience agriculture and interact with nature.
